There are several laws, or maybe aphorisms, that science fiction writer Larry Niven has come up with. Wikipedia has a good list, and here are my favorites:
- Ethics change with technology.
- Anarchy is the least stable of social structures. It falls apart at a touch.
- The ways of being human are bounded but infinite.
- There is no cause so right that one cannot find a fool following it.
- Old age is not for sissies.
