This year, I read 24 books. That averages two per month, which is a coincidence as I didn’t set myself a target. Most of them I wrote about here. My favorites were:
- Annie Dillard: Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
- David Bessis: Mathematica. Review pending.
- Thor Heyerdahl: Kon-Tiki
- Kim Stanley Robinson: Shaman
- Jim Harrison: Wolf
These are the books I liked best in 2025, not the best books of 2025. With the exception of Mathematica, which came out in 2024, they were published more than a decade ago.
